Born in Japan, raised in New York since the age of two, I have New York running through my veins! New York is certainly a hotbed of art of any form, including music and photography, my two areas of interest.
I began playing the guitar when I was 14, a journey that first started with the heaviest of Rock. Then I mellowed out some with some funk, fusion, and eventually ending up as a Jazz Musician. (An ego buster for sure!)
My love for music remains, however when photography entered the digital age, I decided to take the leap of faith. I always loved taking photos, and I find that it is as great a creative outlet as music.
Music and photography have so much in common, at least in the way I try to approach them. Playing what I hear in music and shooting what I see in photography. These are fundamental ideals I try to abide by.
I am forever a student of art. I feel like there is so much to learn. From every stroll in the park to every paid assignment, I consider it an opportunity to learn and further myself.
It's been a great journey so far!
