I gave in and got an iPad!

I just couldn’t resist. It looked so nice. It was just calling my name. Buy me, buy me…

Up to this point my Kindle DX was treating me very well, doing what it was supposed to do, namely allowing me to read my PDF books. It does it well but it just lacks the bling factor.

So I sold out and decided to replace the Kindle with the iPad 32GB! I know it’s not the same thing as the Kindle, but being that it can do so much more than just read PDFs it just made more sense for me. I think I may also be able to use this as an electronic portfolio to show potential clients my photos. Hey, why not right? Add music, movies, surfing, and all the apps I can download, and it’s a win-win situation!

I must admit it was definitely an intuition buy. I decided that I had to have one today so I called several Apple Stores in NYC and the 14th Street store had all the non-3G wireless versions in stock.   I knew I wasn’t going to get the 64GB so it was between the 16GB and 32GB versions. I decided on the 32GB because it seemed like a happy medium.

iPad vs. Kindle DX

Now I have to look for a case. That’s probably the hardest part!
