When Kenneth Kuo, the owner and operator of The Connecticut School of Music contacted me regarding this project, I was pretty excited because the venue was going to be The Allen Room at Jazz at Lincoln Center. I am an avid Jazz listener and always wanted to go there. This was my chance to not only be there, but to take photos as the hired photographer!
I have done some projects for Kenneth for the past few years, but this was by far the largest and perhaps the most meaningful one in that it commemorated 10 years worth of great work to give children the opportunity to learn and enjoy music.
As you can see, The Allen Room is an absolutely stunning venue!
The orchestra consisted mainly of students and teachers. Students from the Jazz at Lincoln Center Jazz Academy were also there to to infuse a little bit of Jazz into the day.
The Orchestra was conducted by Kenneth Kuo himself.
The teachers were also there performing and to make sure everything went smoothly. My hats off to Kenneth Kuo and the entire faculty for pulling off a wonderful event!
It was a packed house and proud parents, relatives, and friends lent their support every step of the way.
